My Story

From newsroom to
your brand's voice

I started my career as an ophthalmic technician, surgical coordinator, and office manager, which means I learned to ask the right questions, find the real story, and write it in a way that makes people actually care.

That foundation shapes everything I do. I continue to further my education, most recently earning a bachelor's degree in English and Creative Writing. Whether I'm writing a grant application or a law firm homepage, I approach it meticulously: research first, clarity always, and never waste the reader's time.

2015

Started as a Medical Professional and Healthcare Content Writing

Covered healthcare policy, patient education, employee training, and local business for over 23 years. Learned to write fast, write clearly, and never bury the lede.

2017

Went Freelance

Left the surgical suite to write for brands. First clients were a healthcare wellness startup and a personal injury law firm — two industries I've never left.

2019

Expanded into Ghostwriting

Started writing LinkedIn thought leadership for executives. Helped a fintech founder grow from 400 to 12K followers in 14 months.

2021

Built a Full-Service Practice

Added content strategy, email campaigns, and nonprofit grant writing. Crossed 200projects delivered with a 98% client satisfaction rate.

2026

Today

Working with a focused roster of clients across healthcare, legal, and B2B. 150+ projects. 8+ industries. Still writing every word myself.

How I Work

The principles I don't
compromise on

Your Voice, Not Mine

I disappear into your brand. Whether I'm ghostwriting for a CEO or crafting your homepage, the voice is yours — I just make it sharper.

Research-First, Always

I don't write about things I don't understand. Every project starts with deep research — your industry, your audience, your competitors.

Zero AI Content

Every word is written by a human — me. No AI drafts, no ChatGPT polish. You're paying for original thinking, and that's what you get.

Results Over Vanity

Pretty words that don't convert are just expensive decoration. I write with strategy baked in — every piece has a job to do.

Kind Words

What clients say

"

Jessica doesn't just write — she thinks. She asked questions about our firm that our own team hadn't considered. The copy she delivered was sharper than anything we'd produced in-house.

We've worked with a lot of healthcare writers. Most can do accurate. Jessica does accurate AND compelling — which is incredibly rare in this space.

She turned our grant application into a story. We'd been rejected twice before. With Jessica's help, we secured $850K. That's not a coincidence.

Self-Qualify

Is this a good fit?

I'd rather you know upfront whether we're right for each other. Here's the honest version — no sales spin.

I work best with clients who value quality over speed, have a clear sense of their audience, and understand that good writing is an investment — not a commodity. My best-fit clients are healthcare providers, law firms, B2B SaaS companies, executives building a personal brand, and nonprofits with a mission worth fighting for.

Yes — if you're serious about building something real. I've helped early-stage startups find their voice from day one. What matters isn't how established you are; it's whether you're committed to showing up consistently for your audience.

Single projects start at $150 (a standalone blog post or email). For ongoing work, my retainers start at $800/month. If you're not sure what you need, book a free discovery call — I'll tell you honestly what makes sense for your goals and budget.

Clients who want AI-assisted content at a human price, need a 24-hour turnaround on complex projects, or want to micromanage every sentence. I also don't write content designed to mislead, manipulate, or make false claims — regardless of industry.

I specialize in healthcare, legal, B2B, nonprofit, and executive ghostwriting. I can write for other industries, but if your project is highly technical (engineering specs, financial modeling, academic research), I'll tell you upfront if it's outside my wheelhouse rather than fake my way through it.

More at the start, less as we go. The first project requires a solid onboarding call so I can understand your voice, goals, and audience. After that, most clients spend 30–60 minutes per month reviewing and giving feedback. I handle the rest.

Every project includes two rounds of revisions. In 9 years, I've never had a client walk away unhappy after revisions — because I ask the right questions upfront. If something truly isn't working, we'll talk it through and fix it. I don't disappear when things get hard.

My typical lead time is 1–2 weeks for new clients. Rush projects (under 5 business days) are available for a 25% surcharge, depending on my current workload. The best way to lock in your spot is to reach out now — my roster fills up fast.
