Full Transparency: My AI Policy

I do not use AI to draft, edit, or generate content at any stage of the writing process. Every word, argument, and sentence is researched, written, and refined by me.

I may use AI-powered tools for non-writing tasks like organizing research, transcribing interview recordings, checking grammar, or formatting documents. But the thinking, voice, and every reputation-carrying sentence is 100% human.

Is This You?

Signs you need a content strategy

"We publish a lot but nothing seems to rank."

Volume without strategy is wasted effort. A clear topic cluster architecture changes everything.

"Our content doesn't sound like us anymore."

When multiple people write without a brand voice guide, consistency disappears fast.

"We don't know what to write about next."

Content without an audience-researched editorial plan always runs dry eventually.

"Our traffic is flat despite consistent publishing."

Flat traffic usually means a keyword strategy problem, not a writing quality problem.

"We have old content that's probably hurting us."

Outdated, thin, or duplicate content can suppress your rankings. Auditing is step one.

"We're on too many channels and nothing's working."

Channel proliferation without a clear strategy stretches teams thin and dilutes impact.

Common Questions

Content strategy questions, answered

Probably more than you think. The most common pattern I see: a business has published 50+ blog posts and barely ranks for anything. Or they're active on 4 social platforms and none of them are driving real leads. A strategy audit almost always reveals that the problem isn't volume; it's focus. We figure out what to double down on and what to stop wasting time on.

A content plan answers "what do we publish and when?" A content strategy answers "why are we publishing, who are we publishing for, what do we want them to do, and how will we know if it's working?" I start with strategy, then build the plan from it. Most businesses have a content plan but no strategy, which is why their content doesn't move the needle.

A standalone content audit takes 1–2 weeks. A full strategy build (audit + audience research + messaging guide + editorial calendar) typically takes 3–5 weeks. Ongoing consulting retainers are monthly. I scope every engagement at the start so you know exactly what you're getting and when.

This is actually one of my favorite scenarios. I handle the strategy: the research, the framework, the brand voice guide, the editorial calendar, and your team executes against it. You get professional-grade direction without losing your team's bandwidth to research and planning. It's a very efficient model.

Either, or both. I offer pure strategy engagements for businesses with writing capacity but no strategic direction. I also offer full-service execution where I build the strategy and then write the content. And I offer hybrid arrangements where I handle the strategy and certain high-stakes pieces while your team handles the rest. We scope it based on your needs.
